Leaving the alligators and moving towards the gallery, you can encounter lots of colourful and interesting animals. They include the blue-tongued skink, the helmeted basilisk, the panther chameleon, the Malian agama lizard, the Peruvian toad, the long-nosed horned frog and the curare frogs, which look like tiny jewels and live in the humid rainforests of Central and South America, where the temperature rarely falls below 20°C or rise above 30°C, while the humidity of the air reaches 80-95%.

The golden tree climber frog, the Indian monitor lizard, the Asian water dragon, the Malian agama lizard, the bearded dragon, the girdled lizard and the tomato frog, which lives in the rainforests of Madagascar. It feeds on insects and molluscs and its length is 8-10 cm. The spurred tortoise lives in the dry grasslands of Africa. It received its name after the horny claws on its hind legs. The ordinary walking-stick, the hissing cockroach, the Eurychanta calcarata, the Peruvian cockroach and the rose-beetles are not the most popular species.

The African giant scorpion lives in Africa. The full-grown animals can reach the length of 20 cm. This is the largest scorpion species. It can live up to 5-8 years, and it is the most ancient representative of the Arachnida.

The venom of the African giant scorpion is not lethal to humans.
The menu of the colourful bird-spider consists of insects and smaller amphibians. According to spider experts, this is the most beautiful bird-spider in the world. The Le Bond giant bird-spider lives in the rainforests of French Guyana, South Venezuela and North-East Brazil. It is the largest bird-spider species, measuring 28 cm with its legs. Red-kneed bird-spider habitats: the Pacific part of Mexico. It is the best-known and most adaptable species, therefore it is most frequently kept in homes.
